Our country director Abdi was invited to attend the celebration marking Kelafo’s designation as an independent city. The event brought together dignitaries from various zones (Shebelle, Fafan, and Siti), along with representatives from the Regional Ministry of Education. Many of them personally expressed their appreciation for the important work E4Change is carrying out particularly through the Erasing Stigma for Good project, which has been making a meaningful difference for schoolgirls.

In his speech, Abdi also highlighted our broader efforts in Kelafo, including Adult Education, Teacher Training, Girls’ Washrooms, and the Library Project. Abdi reported, “I invited officials to visit these projects, and some toured the library in person. They were very impressed and encouraged us to consider expanding the library initiative to their respective zones.”
