Thanks to Meadowlands Fellowship Church for raising over $30 000 Canadian so we could distribute over 2500 more Menstrual Hygiene Management Kits. They raised funds to cover transport, education, and follow-up by our outreach workers. We transported the kits to Toronto International Airport on Tuesday. They flew out on Ethiopian Airlines on Good Friday, and we confirmed this morning that the kits arrived safely in Addis Ababa.

Special thanks go to Days for Girls coordinators Syd and Evelyn Hielema, and all the volunteer teams across Canada that made the kits by hand.

This has been a grass roots project from the beginning. It began with a request from community leaders in Ethiopia. The kits were made by Days for Girls volunteers in Canada, and the costs were covered by a fundraising drive at Meadowlands Fellowship Christian Reformed Church in Ancaster, Ontario.

The pictures show the boxes of kits leaving the home that was their collection point, and the same boxes in the warehouse at Pearson airport, awaiting their flight.
