High School Science Kits
Science is an area of need throughout the Somali region, not just in Kelafo. The Ethiopian Ministry of Education reported that only 10 of 196 high schools in the Somali region have working science labs.
Science, technology, engineering and mathematics skill are in high demand.
Quality Science Labs Ltd. which is a company in Kenya that manufactures portable science kits for high schools. These kits are designed to be used in a regular classroom with no special lab equipment necessary. They are specialized for each grade level (9, 10, 11 and 12) and for each subject in the science strand (Chemistry, Biology and Physics). Each kit comes with step-by-step instructions for various activities and there are enough materials in the lab kits for them to be used several times (materials can be replaced as needed).
